Research, writing and exhibitions focus on cultural landscapes, environmental heritage, and design with a recent interest in migrants and landscape.

Consultancies include the Guide to Migrant Heritage Places for the Australian Heritage Commission and cultural landscape and heritage landscape assessments. Design judge: a wide spectrum of landscape design and planning projects in Australia.
